Energy Blast - Oct 6, 2008

TNK-BP says it has ‘fully resolved’ its shareholder dispute. The first section of the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline has been opened in Yakutia. Peru will begin construction of a 700-mile pipeline to carry natural gas to its impoverished southern regions in 2010. The $1.4 billion pipeline is expected to be ‘a major economic driver’. The US-India civilian nuclear deal has still not been signed, although US State Secretary Condoleezza Rice insists that the deal will not unravel.
